The Leadership Structure at ALCC

Senior Pastor
While the concept of church structure and government may be foreign to some believers, the Bible does instruct the local church to be organized in a specific manner. Accordingly, Abundant Life Christian Center operates under a pastoral-form of church government.

In short, we believe this biblically called organization of the local church has the Spirit-led ability to recognize the person, chosen by God, to be the senior pastor. He is the one who bears the responsibility and has the God-given authority to see the ministry mission of the church fulfilled. He is recognized as the visionary and leader of the ministry.

Board of Trustees
While the senior pastor has the ultimate responsibility of answering to God for the progress of the ministry, wisdom ―and state law― dictate the institution of a Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees has been appointed by the senior pastor. They provide spiritual and practical guidance in the operation of the ministry as a corporation and biblical institution.

Executive Team
The Executive Team has been appointed by, and works directly with, the senior pastor to administrate the various areas of ministry operations. They give input to the senior pastor and provide guidance and direction for the Pastoral Team and Ministry Support Team.

Pastoral Team
The Pastoral Team provides spiritual guidance for the church membership as assigned by areas within the church community. They also administrate various areas of ministry operations within the church.

Ministry Support Team
The Ministry Support Team is responsible for carrying out all administrative and operational directives.

Academy Team
The Academy Team is responsible for carrying out the Christian education directives of Abundant Life Christian Center through the Abundant Life Academy.

Panel of Elders
The Panel of Elders serve as the pastor’s hands extended to a diverse, rapidly growing, and geographically expanding church membership.

Leadership Council
The Leadership Council is comprised of lay deacons and department heads. They help provide leadership for the operations of a variety of volunteer services. They meet four times a year to evaluate procedures and discuss new ministry ideas.
